History of South Mountain Equine LLC
Justin Sobota MS, MSM, DVM Founder of South Mountain Equine LLC, grew up in the orchards of Biglerville, PA and came to develop a love and respect for horses. Dr. Sobota is a graduate of Penn State University and the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He also completed masters degrees in nutrition and management from the University of Florida which propelled him to be employed as an equine nutrition consultant for two international feed companies prior to attending veterinary school. He completed an equine surgical, medical, and ambulatory internship at Woodside Equine Clinic in Ashland, Va. Dr. Sobota has also been active in organized veterinary medicine. He is the past president of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association and looks forward to serving you. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys cooking with his wife, reading, and going to the gym. He also enjoys relaxing with the three family dogs,Kona, Copper, and Derby.
