South Mountain Equine
DENTAL SERVICES
Equine dentistry is an essential part of preventative health care. Performing a careful physical examination followed by sedation and a thorough oral examination are performed prior to dental procedures. Dental equilibration, or “floating”, with a combination of motorized and traditional dentistry techniques are provided to practice the highest quality medicine. Advanced dentistry services that can be provided include extractions and the treatment of periodontal disease.
We recommend equine dental examinations every 6 months to 1 year as critically important in determining if dental equilibration is required.
